The support of generous and loyal sponsors has been a major factor in the success of Dungarvan Golf Club for many years. Our sponsors include manufacturers, retail outlets, services, financial and insurance firms, and many, many more. Some of our sponsors are involved with ongoing competitions, e.g. Golfer of the Year, Winter League, Monthly Medal etc, while others are linked to a day each year during our Open Fortnight or September Open Week. Yet another group of sponsors have a ten-year arrangement of sponsoring Tee-markers, on which are emblazoned their name and logo. We have found that while some sponsors donate suitable prizes, others give a cash amount to enable us to purchase prizes of our choosing. Similarly, some express a preference for a particular type of competition, e.g. Singles, Fourball, Rumble, Scramble etc., while others leave the choice to us. In addition, some use the sponsored day as an opportunity to advertise their goods or services, or to entertain their customers/business associates, availing of guest spaces on the competition timesheet. With our full catering and bar facilities the sponsored day lends itself to such use. Our list of sponsors grows annually.
