EASTER WEEKEND OPENS
Now that Summer time is officially here members can look forward to some great golfing events & you fair weather golfers can come out of retirement! Things get underway on Easter weekend. With a mixed bag of Opens, Good Friday sees an Open gents singles while Saturday has an Open Gents V Par and a Ladies Open singles. Easter Sunday & Monday plays host to a gents Stroke competition and the Ladies club are hosting an Open 18 hole singles . Timesheets are now available on line so get booking!
PRESENTATIONS

FEELING LUCKY?
Support Your Club by Purchasing an Annual (Green) Lotto Ticket enclosed. An ‘Annual Ticket’ for the 52 week Lotto series beginning 3rd May 2009 is available for €75 (pre-paid), a saving of €29. A second or a third ‘Annual Ticket’ may be purchased for the additional cost of €55. Tickets are available in the Bar and Office. The prizes for this series will be as follows: Minimum Jackpot of €1,500, increasing by €150 each week when not won. The maximum jackpot will be €12,700 during this series. Five prizes of €15 will be drawn for each week. The weekly draw will be held in the Clubhouse each Sunday evening.

The Club are very lucky to have such well regarded catering staff in the form of father & son chefs Tom & Chris Daly, with friendly assistance from Rita. Tom has been telling me that now the season has started they will be doing ‘Daly (daily) specials’ to enhance what is already a popular menu. They will also be introducing a summer menu in a few weeks, so why not bring your family for lunch this Easter at the club.

Ladies Home Alliance Captains Day
The final was played on Sat 28th March in very sunny but cold and windy conditions, which did not reflect the fantastic high scores of the day. Congratulations goes to Bertha O’Connor with 42pts to take the coveted prize, June James and Mary McGrath took 2nd and 3rd place with 40pts each, the rest of the scoring lay in the high 30’s, well done to all who featured !!

Junior golfers requested to attend an induction evening at Dungarvan Golf Club on Monday 6th April at 7.p.m. This will be an informative evening covering topics such as lessons, etiquette, competitions and general organisation of the junior section.
