INTER PUBS CLASSIC
The Interpubs Classic for the Tom Shanley Memorial Trophy kindly sponsored by Carlsberg was played for last Friday & Saturday and the team of Mark Reynolds, Michael Corkery, Tommy Reynolds & Kevin Regan emerged as the victors with an impressive 111 points. The ladies were not far behind them with a fantastic 108 points. Tish Baumann, Mary Kyne and Cathie Whelan O’Mahony who were joined by the Ladies Golfer of the Year Brid Killigrew certainly knew how to show the fellas how its done. The presentation of prizes will be held on Friday 9th October in the clubhouse at 8p.m. Thank you to everyone who took part and especially our generous sponsors Carlsberg for continuing to support this event.
PETER MULLANEY- ONE TO WATCH
Well done to Peter Mullaney playing off (3) for his success in winning Septembers Bank of Ireland Monthly medal. Stradbally man Peter romped home with a fantastic 66 nett. His impressive score included an eagle on the 1st, Birdies on the 2nd, 3rd, 11th & 13th and pars on 6,7,8,9,10,14,15,17 & 18th. Amazing scoring by anyone’s standards . Our popular and affable president Frank was in second place with 68.
ULSTER BANK QUALIFIER:The Ulster Bank Qualifier will be played for on the 18th of October.

There will be a presentation of prizes night for all prize winners of the following competitions. EA Ryan Cup, Carlsberg Inter Pubs Classic, Open Seniors Prizes & the Clonea Cup on Friday 8th October at 8p.m in the clubhouse.

The Senior Alliance was played in Dungarvan on Tue 22nd in glorious September sunshine. There was a very healthy entry of 60+ who sang our praises from the condition of the course to the food served in the restaurant. Well done to Ann Morrissey our rep and her team and also congrats to Margaret Reneghan Clonmel G.C. who took first prize with a great score of 42pts.

JUNIOR GOLF NOTES
SOUTH EAST LEAGUE FINAL
Dungarvan U/15 and U/18 teams will contest the inaugural South EAST League finals next Sunday 4th October at the Gold Coast Golf Club, Both teams have done extremely well to reach the finals but we now face difficult opposition. Our under 15 team will play Faithlegg and the under 18 will do battle with Waterford. The matches kick off at 10.45, so both panels are requested to attend the Gold Coast at 10.15. Supporters and parents are invited to attend so please support us. Concluding preparations are on Friday at 4.15 at Dungarvan where the final teams will be announced.

The sun shone for our popular barmaid Lauren who married Kilrossanty man Paudie Coffey on Friday 18th September in Ballinroad Church.
