NEW YEARS DAY CAPTAINS’ DRIVE-IN
Following the enjoyable New Years Eve party held in the club house the night before, our Captains Pat Stack and Maeve Morrissey kicked off 2012 with the annual Captain’s  Drive in followed by a 9 Hole Scramble. The popularity of the new Captains coupled with the unseasonably mild weather meant that almost 60 played in the scramble and many more came out for the drive in. We would like to thank Tom Day and his staff for the lovely provision of the hot whisky before the tee off and the finger food served afterwards.

ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTIONS REMINDER
The Club appreciates the support of those members who have paid their subs within the deadline.
The Club relies on members’ co-operation at this time of year with payment of membership fees in order to file accurate returns of members to the G.U.I./I.L.G.U. and to keep smart cards, handicaps and tee booking registrations valid and up to date. If you haven’t yet paid, payments are accepted in both the office and bar. If you need clarification or have any queries regarding your Annual Subscription for 2011/12 or wish to discuss payment options in special circumstances please do not hesitate to contact Secretary/ Manager Irene Lynch.

CLUB RAFFLE
The Club has organised a huge Raffle again for the coming year proceeds of which will go towards clubhouse refurbishment projects. There are superb prizes on offer.  First prize is a top of the range set of Callaway Razr Irons valued at €750.  Second prize is a weeks holiday accommodation in magnificent Cannes valued at €600 kindly donated by a club member. 3rd prize is a GolfBuddy GPS World worth €325.  Additional prizes consist of Golf Trolley, Golf Bag, Greenfee vouchers and Golf Shoes and all the golf prizes are supplied by resident professional David Hayes.  Tickets are €5 each and are on sale around the Clubhouse.  The grand draw will take place on the night of the Captain’s Prize-giving on Sunday 24th June 2012.  All support welcome.
