VALENTINES DINNER
This Saturday 11th February sees the clubs popular annual Valentines dinner dance. Great food, great music and great company will be the order of the evening. The two sittings of 7p.m and 9p.m are filling up quickly so those of you who haven’t booked yet need to do it NOW! Only €29 per person for a sumptuous 4 course meal – followed by dancing the night away, we guarantee you shouldn’t miss it.

DEISE GOLF WORLD WINTER LEAGUE QUALIFYINGS STAGES
The qualifying stages of the Deise Golf World Winter League continues to next weekend. Six individual scores to count per team and semi final positions for league proper and plate will be finalised.

The winter league competitions during the week saw former Captain John Reynolds back in top form by taking positions in both Thursday and Fridays comps. Scratch player John took the gross in Thursdays Open singles and followed up this win by taking 1st on Friday with 37 points. John recorded an eagle and five birdies in Fridays round. Liam Hansbury made sure that he ‘secured’ the pole position on Thursday just pipping last weeks winner Cyril Power on the back 8. Saturdays rainy conditions didn’t stop Dermot Brennan (17) 39pts from taking 1st place from John Norris (15) 38pts. Alan Thomas (+1) took gross, 34pts gross and John Gough (6) took third place with 37pts. Sundays competition was won by Victor Mullins (16) 39pts. In second place was Nicholas Norris (14) 37pts. Gross was won by Paddy Kennedy (4) 32 gross pts and 3rd place was Sean Wade (13) 36pts.

WINTER HANDICAPS
It would be greatly appreciated if competitors when entering their scores on computer would enter their winter handicaps if they apply. The relevant winter handicaps cuts are posted in the locker room.

SOUTH EAST LEAGUE Bruen/Purcell
The South East League kicks off on Sunday 19th February at Mitchelstown Golf Club when Dungarvan take on Golf Coast. This league gives an opportunity to Bruen and Purcell managers to get their panels into shape in readiness for the competitions proper.

SOUTH EAST JUNIOR ALLIANCE NEWS
The Presidents Prize (N.Norris) was played in Dungarvan on Sunday last with 71 players taking part. The winner was Liam Brennan (Callan) with a excellent score of 44pts. In 2nd place was Liam Comerford (Gowran) with 43pts from Richie Cuddihy (Callan) also with 43pts. Dungarvan members who featured in the prizes were Ger Darcy,Conor O Brien,Ml.O Brien & N Norris.whilst M Lynch won the Past Pres.Prize. Another victory for Kilkenny over Waterford. Next outing in Kilkenny on Sunday February 19th. Tee Time 10-30.

CLUB RAFFLE

TINHALLA:
Our elite squads commence their Spring coaching at Tinhalla Driving Range on Monday 6th February. We depart the club at 7pm sharp. Adults and parents are welcome to come along. The Spring coaching will run for 5 weeks.
