Juniors are expected to have their own golf clubs, which they should not leave unattended around the clubhouse. Neither should golf bags be left untidily strewn in and around the clubhouse (including locker rooms).
Juniors are expected to know the Rules of Golf, and the etiquette. The book of rules is available free of charge – ask the Junior Officers for a copy. Please note that the online timesheet is in operation each day. Tee times should be reserved, even for social golf. Be careful about ‘cutting in’ by starting on the 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th, 17th or other tees; if golfers are immediately behind you in these circumstances they must be called through.
Unless in a fourball competition, Juniors are expected to play in 2s or 3s.
The putting green is for practice putting. If used for pitching or chipping, take care to protect the surface. Please do not loiter in this area.
Mobile phones taken on to the course must be set to silent.
Be careful near lakes.
Please do not loiter in the locker rooms.
Smart casual dress is essential on the course and around the clubhouse; become familiar with the Dress Code, which is displayed prominently. Golf shoes may be worn only on the ground floor of the clubhouse.
Junior members are expected to behave in a mature manner. Remember, there are times when you should be seen and not heard! This applies to both course and clubhouse.
