Dungarvan Golf Club would like to extend its sincere sympathies to the family of our

much-loved member Tess O’Brien who sadly passed away on Sunday 20th December after a brief illness. Tess joined Dungarvan Golf Club last year and was always a joy to meet both on and off the course. A warm and friendly lady who could light up a room with her smile. Tess was so happy when her daughter Teresa and grand-daughter Katie joined Dungarvan Golf Club this year and they were looking forward to playing their beloved game of golf together. Tess was a wonderful member, so positive and enthusiastic and always had a kind word for everyone. We offer our sincere condolences to her loving husband J.J, daughters Breda and Teresa, son John, grandchildren and extended family members. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

We would like to wish all our Members, Sponsors, Friends, Visitors and Staff of Dungarvan Golf Club a very Happy and safe Christmas. This year has been like no other for everyone. Wet weather prevailed last Friday morning, which dampened our spirits and caused the cancellation of our Fun Friday Foursomes. But we will be back in the New Year. We would like to wish our loyal supporters a very Happy Christmas and the very best of health for 2021. This has been a strange year but it will pass. Mile buiochas.

“When the going gets tough, the tough get going”.  Yes indeed, conditions on the course are tough at the moment, but don’t forget to try and get an entry in for this month’s Winter League. The scores at the end of the month are combined with October, and the competition will be extended to April.  Even though you may feel you have had a terrible score, remember that every card entered will give you a point for your team (up to a max of 6 cards).  Let’s get the competition going!

Our competition on Wednesday 16th Dec was cancelled due to rain. We will be back on Wednesday 23rd Dec from 11.20am – 12.30pm. Please book in online.

Our was cancelled again on 16th Dec due to rain. Hopefully we will be back next week.
