Last week we welcomed back visitors to the course and it was great to see everyone enjoying their golf, mostly in fine weather although some heavy showers at times! Thank you to all our members who continue to comply with the return to golf protocol and ensuring everyone stays safe.  Please remember to wear your mask when entering the Pro Shop to sign in and maintain social distance guidelines. The clubhouse remains closed with access to toilets via the Ladies and Gents locker rooms.


There will be no competition only times from Monday 17th. We will however use them on Saturday mornings when there are societies booked in. Competitions begin this week and you sign in as normal in the Pro Shop.

Your marker must mark your card and you agree scores at the end of each hole verbally. He/Se must sign the card and write your name on it. Scores must be submitted on Master Scoreboard either on the computer in the locker room, or on your phone. Do not enter on Golf Ireland App. (This App is only for Casual Golf rounds for Handicap purposes). Please don’t forget to put your card in the box. There can be no ‘Non Returns’.

If you are bringing guests to play, you must ensure that their names are recorded on the timesheets by phoning the Pro Shop or Office. The timesheet goes live each Monday at 18.40pm.

Tee times must be booked in advance online or over the telephone. We must ensure that players’ names are recorded on timesheets and timesheets must be kept for a period of at least six weeks to assist with contact tracing should the need arise.

We are delighted to tell you that this fun event will return to our golf course on Fri May 21st. Please go online and book your slot please. You will play in the slot you have booked. First tee time is 9.30 am. Entry fee is €2. We are looking forward to seeing all our loyal supporters again. All Covid protocols apply.


Like all other competitions this league was on hold during lockdown but is now back under the new title Winter/ Summer League. Anytime you play, return your card (front nine) regardless of score. Each card returned earns one point for your team up to a total of six cards per month. Ladies return cards into Get into Golf box in Ladies Locker room and the box for the men is located in the Men’s Locker room. Update yourself with Conditions for league which are attached to list of teams in relevant locker rooms.

Congratulations to Ina Considine who has been appointed to the National Board of Golf Ireland. Ina previously served on the ILGU and we are delighted that she has now been elevated to this position. It is a great testament to her service and commitment to our game of golf at all levels.


Great fun and games were had at our Junior lessons last Saturday afternoon, Ruby, Dana and Darcy were our shining lights! It continues next Saturday at 3pm and places must be reserved by contacting the Pro Shop due to covid restrictions. We are holding a members-only competition next Sunday at 2.30pm. Please reserve your spot on the timesheet.

The Golf Ireland App, which provides for pre-registration and return of general play scores, has now been launched. The App can be used at players’ Home or Away Clubs. The new App allows you to enjoy the flexibility of recording scores for handicap purposes from either 9-hole or 18-hole social rounds played in accordance with the Rules of Handicapping.

You can also view your own handicap index and playing record as well as follow and communicate with friends. To download the app, simply search for “Golf Ireland” in the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) and select the version with the Golf Ireland logo.


We have had a number of enquiries regarding handicaps. If you haven’t already done so you must register on the Golf Ireland website for your new handicap under the World Handicap System (WHS). Click on ‘My Golf Login’ and sign in. You will need your 8 Digit Golf Ireland number and pin, both can be found on your club card. You will then get your Handicap Index and can look up your Course playing handicap. You can also download the Golf Ireland App which will enable you to check your handicap for any course you play. 


The three golf clubs in Dungarvan have a long-standing reciprocal agreement whereby members can play Monday – Friday at a reduced green fee of €15 in each other’s club. This does not apply at weekends or competitions. For bookings please contact respective offices.

We must adhere to following: 
• All tee times must be booked on line or by phoning the Pro Shop. All names have to be recorded on the time sheet for contact tracing purposes. 

• When arriving at the club please maintain physical distancing at all times. Follow the one-way system to the Pro Shop from the locker room side of the Club House, Check in at the Pro Shop before playing and don’t forget your mask!

• The Clubhouse is closed but there will be access to the toilets in the locker rooms. Tom Daly Catering will be open for take away only.

• There must be no gathering together in groups to socialise.

• Members must stay away from the club if they are experiencing any COVID like   symptoms.

• When on the course there should be no touching of flag poles or raking the bunkers, but level the sand with your feet or club. A local rule of placing no more than 6 inches in the bunker will apply. 

• There can be no sharing of buggies except persons from the same household.

• The practice area will be open but slots must be booked in advance through the Pro Shop.
