LADIES CAPTAIN’S PRIZE
Our Ladies club Captain Angela Murphy enjoyed a very successful weekend. The weather, the atmosphere and the support made it a happy and memorable occasion.
Our course was in tremendous condition, thank you to our course staff for all their hard work ensuring it was in top condition.
Congratulations to Bridget Ahearn who won the Captains Prize, everyone was delighted for her. In second place was Betty O’Brien. Best Gross was Aoife Lowry and 3rd place went to Hilary Browne.
Our Catering Manager Tom Daly, chef Chris Daly and all the team in the restaurant provided a delicious BBQ on Sunday evening. All activities were outside and carried out with social distancing observed.

LADIES INTER CLUB TEAMSCommiserations to our Intermediate Team who lost to the Gold Coast on Monday 26th. It was a closely fought match contested in the best of spirits. Thanks to all the panel members and Mary the manager for all their efforts.
VOLUNTEERS – COURSE WORK
Excellent work has been carried out by many volunteers each Wednesday since summer arrived and the course is now in very good order. We will take a break for a couple of weeks and I will be in contact again when there is more work to be done. Thanks to everyone who has given their time and effort to the work of the Wednesday volunteers.
Annual Tickets (€90) are still available. Weekly Tickets for sale in the Club. €2 for one line and €5 for three lines. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto, all funds raised are used to develop our course.
We are open for Indoor Dining and we thank everyone for their co-operation and compliance to date. We will require your name, contact number and Covid Vaccination Certificate in either digital or paper form along with Photo ID for entry into the bar/restaurant. We also have outdoor dining available on our balconies overlooking our beautiful course. We look forward to welcoming you.

Despite mixed weather on Wednesday 27th July, we had a full timesheet for our 60.com competition. We had magnificent scores with Seamus O’Neill producing the score of the month!

We have an outing to Faithlegge Golf Club on 12th August – the booking sheet is posted in the locker room. We have 32 slots so if you are interested book immediately! Get into Golf 2021The initial lessons with David Hayes our PGA are now over and our new golfers have started the on course activities with our lady members. With this in mind she ran a Putting Competition for them . This was a fun event which they all enjoyed but none the less was very competitive. We have some very good putters in the group. . JUNIOR GOLF NEWS
Our Junior lessons on Saturday continue next Saturday at 3pm and places must be reserved in advance by contacting the Pro Shop on 058-44707.

Huge Congratulations to our Two Members, Neil Montgomery and Michael Kiely on their magnificent performances last Saturday when Waterford defeated Tipperary. We wish them and all the team the best of luck when they take on Limerick next weekend in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship.

SOCIETIES – GREAT GREENFEE RATES
We have great green fee rates available for societies and as we have a busy summer with lots of groups booked in. If you would like to book in a date for your group, please email us or call 058-43310.
We must maintain records of everyone attending the club. Please help our staff in the Pro Shop by always checking in with them. We must record those going to the practice area or using the putting green. If you are attending when the Pro Shop is closed then please sign in on the sheet in the starters hut by the 1st tee.Greens: No touching of the flagpoleBunkers: No rakes in bunkers. Placing in bunkers within 6 inches is permitted. Players are asked to make good the sand with feet or club.
If you are bringing guests to play, you must ensure that their names are recorded on the timesheets by phoning the Pro Shop or Office. The timesheet goes live each Monday at 18.40pm.
Tee times must be booked in advance online or over the telephone. We must ensure that players’ names are recorded on timesheets and timesheets must be kept for a period of at least six weeks to assist with contact tracing should the need arise. Everyone entering the Pro Shop needs to ensure social distancing is observed and they must wear a mask.

GOLF COVID REGULATIONS
Please make yourself familiar with the full ‘Return to Golf’ protocols on the Golf Ireland website. www.golfireland.ie
We must adhere to following: • All tee times must be booked on line or by phoning the Pro Shop. All names have to be recorded on the time sheet for contact tracing purposes.
• When arriving at the club please maintain physical distancing at all times. Follow the one-way system to the Pro Shop from the locker room side of the Club House, Check-In at the Pro Shop before playing and don’t forget to wear your mask in Pro Shop and in Clubhouse.
• Members must stay away from the club if they are experiencing any COVID like symptoms.
• When on the course there should be no touching of flag poles or raking the bunkers, but level the sand with your feet or club. A local rule of placing no more than 6 inches in the bunker will apply.
• The practice area will be open but slots must be booked in advance through the Pro Shop.
Restaurants, cafés and bars have reopened their doors for indoor dining and drinking from l Monday, 26th July, operating under strict new public health regulations.Our clubhouse Bar/Restaurant run by Tom and Chris, while providing indoor hospitality are being asked to implement specified protective measures. Members are asked to play their part in ensuring a safe environment for both themselves and the staff serving them.What is required to dine or drink indoors?All adults over 18 need proof that they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 or have recovered from the disease in the past six months.Members will not be allowed INSIDE to dine if they do not have there VACINATION CERTS WITH THEM OR DISPLAYED ON THEIR PHONES.
