All here in Dungarvan Golf Club wish to congratulate Pat Murphy in West Waterford Golf Club on winning Munster Golf Club Volunteer of the Year.  Pat is a most worthy winner of this award having dedicated so many years to his beloved West Waterford Golf Club. His passion for golf and his club is second to none and we wish him continued success for the future.

BANK HOLIDAY COMPETITIONS

Hopefully the first shoots of drier conditions as the weather was a bit kinder over the last week. For the Bank Holiday weekend on Sunday, we have a Gents Open 14-Hole singles and on the Bank holiday Monday we will have an Open 14H Mixed Champagne Scramble (Any Combination).  We look forward to welcoming you.

GET INTO GOLF MIXED SCRAMBLE
We held our first mixed scramble of 2023 last Sunday afternoon. We were thrilled with the number of entries as some hadn’t played since early December. Scoring was very close and everyone seemed delighted to be back.

Our Youngones were back in action and enjoyed a great day in fine weather last Wednesday 25^th. 1^st Bernie Hayes (23) 18pts, 2^nd Ina Considine (25) 15pts, 3^rd Joanne Lannen (31) 14pts. Our next competition is on Wednesday 1^st Feb from 11am – 12.30pm. Please book in online.

60.COM

We had a good turnout for our 60.Com competition on Wednesday 25^th Jan. Many of those who had “hibernated” over recent months are making a welcome comeback. The underfoot condition were very good even though the course was playing long. The winners were 1^st Pat Power 17pts, 2^nd Maurice Crotty 16pts. If you’re interested in social golf, please put your name on the timesheet and join our society.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

We had a great turnout for the foursomes last Friday. We were delighted to welcome Adrian O’Driscoll who joined us for the first time.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS 2023

Our Membership Renewal Invoices went out to all members by email in December. We encourage members to pay in full or set up a payment plan using our BRS Memberships system. Please contact the office if you require assistance with this or if you had difficulty receiving the email.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto 4 draw on Friday, 27th January. This was Week 37 of 52. The numbers drawn were 2, 6, 13 and 21. The jackpot was €10,000 and there was no winner.

We had two Match 3 winning tickets. Maura Kindregan and Helen O’Shea win €50 each. To play online please go to our website www.dungarvangolfclub.com and select Online Lotto.
