SYMPATHIES
It was with great sadness we learned the passing of club member Matthew Whelan last week. Matthew was a much loved member in Dungarvan Golf Club. Lots of conversations since his passing have highlighted how much of a true gentleman Matthew was and a wonderful golfing companion to many. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him here at Dungarvan Golf Club. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

GET INTO GOLF MIXED SCRAMBLE/SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

We have decided to open this to all members next Sunday 12th Feb and have a Sunday Social  Scramble. The time sheet is open so add your name to the list. Entry is €5 and there is a shotgun start at 2.30 pm. It is a lovely way to spend your Sunday afternoon and will be great fun.

We had a full timesheet for our 60.com on Wednesday 1st  February. The weather was
wonderful and the scoring was excellent. We are delighted to have a number of new joiners
in our group – Stephen Lynch, Patrick Comiskey, Adrian O’Driscoll and John Dalton.

The winners this week were: 1st  PJ Kindregan 21Pts, 2nd Mossie MacNamara  20Pts. If you’re interested in social golf please put your name on the timesheet and join our society.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

There was a real feeling of Spring last Friday morning as our golfers gathered to participate in the Fun Friday Foursomes. We were delighted to welcome eighteen participants for the event and thank them  for their loyal support.

LOTTO RESULTS
We had our weekly Lotto 4 draw on Friday, 3rd February. This was Week 38 of 52..The numbers drawn were 4, 10, 24 and 25. The jackpot was €10,000 and there was no winner. The jackpot remains at €10,000 for the next draw. We had three Match 3 winning tickets.  Jean O’Rourke, Danny Barry and Marian Walsh win €34 each.
