SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

With the continued good spell of weather, the course is really firming up and great to see the numbers back out playing. A reminder that the next Sunday social scramble is on again this coming Sunday February 26th. These scrambles are open to all members and are proving to be a great success with large entries. There is a shotgun start at 3pm and entry is €5. If you would like to be part of the fun book your place now to avoid disappointment.

AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday evening, 7^th March at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. The meeting will be preceded by mass for deceased members at 7pm.

OPEN FIXTURES

We hold two Open competitions each week at present. On Mondays our popular Open Seniors Gents/Ladies competition (age over 50+) and on Thursdays our Open Gents competition. Both are 14 Hole competitions until we move to 18H competitions in March. Visitors are very welcome and can book in online www.dungarvangolfclub.com.

A great turnout and beautiful weather for our Youngones competition last week. 1^st Bernie Lynch (26) 18pts, 2^nd Colette Power (25) 16pts. Our next competition is on Wed 22^nd from 11 – 12.30pm.

60.COM

We had a bumper turnout for our 60.com on Wednesday 15^th February. Some members had to play very early in the afternoon as the timesheet was full. It was great to see Denis O’Brien and Sean English back playing – particularly with Sean coming into the prizes immediately. Welcome to new members Pat Stack and Tom Frost.

The winners were: 1^st Sean English 21pts, 2^nd Tom O’Callaghan 18pts

We hope to have our first outing during April – we will confirm a booking in the coming weeks. If you’re interested in social golf, please put your name on the timesheet and join our society.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

We had a great turnout last Friday morning with many of our supporters returning after a ‘Winter break’. The course is in great order and the scoring was very close.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS 2023

Thank you to all members who have paid their membership subscriptions to date for 2023. Membership Subscriptions for 2023 are now due and payment can be made in the office, phone or via our BRS payment system.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

If your child would like to join as a junior member, please contact the office as we have great Junior joining rates of €75 for ages 6 – 12 and €100 for ages 13 -18. Give us a call on 058-43310.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto 4 draw on Friday, 17th February. This was Week 40 of 52. The numbers drawn were 8, 9, 13 and 26. The jackpot was €10,000 and there was no winner. The jackpot remains at €10,000 for the next draw. We had no Match 3 winning ticket. Next week’s match 3 winners will share €200.
