SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

What a response we are getting to these scrambles with timesheet fully booked on Friday and a waiting list for cancellations in place! These scrambles are social occasions both on the course and in the clubhouse later. They are ideal for new members to help integrate them into the club and for our established members to share their expertise. Our Captain Brian Beatty spoke about the transition of the scrambles from being Get into Golf to now being social scrambles and how successful this transition has been. The buzz in the clubhouse was indicative of this.

AGM

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday evening, 7^th March at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. The meeting will be preceded by mass for deceased members at 7pm.

OPEN FIXTURES

We hold two Open competitions each week at present. On Mondays our popular Open Seniors Gents/Ladies competition (age over 50+) and on Thursdays our Open Gents competition. Both are 14 Hole competitions until we move to 18H competitions later in March. Visitors are very welcome and can book in online www.dungarvangolfclub.com.

It was cold and somewhat wet for our 60.com competition on Wednesday 22 February. Almost everyone is back playing golf after their winter lay-off and we had a full timesheet again this week. We will shortly be starting to look at our outings which hopefully we will commence during April. The winners this week were:

We were delighted to see so many on the timesheet last Friday for our Scotch Foursomes. We really appreciate the loyal support of so many. It was lovely to welcome our Lady Captain Una O’Connell and also Olivia Fahey (Holland) and Gary Kennedy (Limerick Golf Club) who joined us.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS 2023

Thank you to all members who have paid their membership subscriptions to date for 2023. Membership Subscriptions for 2023 are now due and payment can be made in the office, phone or via our BRS payment system.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto 4 draw today (Friday, 24th February). This was Week 41 of 52.
The numbers drawn were 7, 11, 17 and 28. The jackpot was €10,000 and there was no winner. The jackpot remains at €10,000 for the next draw. We had three Match 3 winning tickets today. Martin Lynch, Dave Cashman, Rose & Jim Prendergast each win €67 as there was no match 3 winner last week.
