This coming weekend is the first weekend in September and the proper time for an All -Ireland Final. So, it is with the JB Carr Diamond Trophy. This is an annual nationwide Scotch Foursomes team matchplay competition for Men aged 60+ which is run by Woodenbridge GC in Co Wicklow. You initially compete within your county and we defeated Waterford GC in the County Final. We then went forward into the Munster Championship and we got the better of Woodstock GC, Co Clare in the Munster Final.

The opening ceremony and the semifinals draw take place on this Friday evening in Woodenbridge GC. The four provincial winners in the hat are Castlebar, Malahide, Clandeboye and Dungarvan. Semifinals tee off at 10.00 and 11.00 on Saturday morning. On Sunday, there is a third/fourth place playoff at 10.00 and the final commences at 11.00.
