SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
These scrambles are proving very popular and great social events. Our next scramble is scheduled for this coming Sunday (Mar 3). Shotgun start at 3pm. If you are free and would like to join us, just go online and book your place. It is a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

MENS SPRING LEAGUE

The Spring League is on-going, thanks to all who are participating. There is still one spot available on the last team, please contact Vice Captain Martin T Landers if you are available to join. Due to the inclement weather, it is understandable that members are finding it difficult to attain their six scores. You have until the 17th of March to get these scores in.
Counting competitions are Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (11 Hole Stableford).
Well done to the one player who has already submitted six cards.

Changes to Course Handicap from April 1st 2024

Course Rating Minus Par Adjustment. One of the biggest changes being made in GB&I is to the Course Handicap calculation. The Course Handicap calculation will now take into account the difference between the Course Rating and the Par of the course, so instead of playing to the Course Rating, you will be playing to Par.  If the Course Rating is higher than par, you will receive more shots. If the Course Rating is lower than par, you will receive not as many shots. New Tables showing your Course and playing handicaps will be printed and take effect from April 1^st 2024 Download the Golf Ireland App and log in using your membership number and pin to keep up to date with changes. The conditions were tough on Wednesday 14^th Feb due to heavy rain the previous night. This did not deter our players as the returned excellent scores: 1^st Jack Elstead 18pts, 2^nd Craig Susdorf 17pts. If you are interested in social golf and are over 60 years of age then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on the timesheet.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto draw on Friday, 23rd February. This was Week 41 of 52.
The numbers drawn were 3, 14, 18 and 28. The jackpot was €6,200, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €6,300 for the next draw. We had four match 3 winners – Lisa Mulcahy, Bob Frizelle, Steve Barron and Gerard Raher – who win €25 each.

JOIN US IN 2024

We have a great new member joining rate for 2024 – join us for €400 (+ €28 Golf Ireland fee) for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone.

We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

We have a beautiful bar and restaurant where Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards and poker nights along with book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. FRIDAY BRIDGE

Everyone is welcome to our weekly bridge morning every Friday and it is a great social meeting place during the winter months. Bridge commences at 11am.
