GET INTO GOLF PROGRAMME
Our Get into Golf Programme starts week beginning 8th April and we have been very busy taking names for this very popular course. If you are a beginner to golf then this is the course for you! We will hold four weekly group lessons with our Pro David Hayes, followed by four weeks on course practice all for just €50.
We have Men’s and Ladies lessons and it is a great way to meet new people and lots of fun guaranteed. We will be holding an Information Evening in the clubhouse on 2nd April for all those signed up to attend.

This year we celebrate 100 years of Dungarvan Golf Club and we want you to be a part of it! We have a great joining rate for new members €400 (+ €28 Golf Ireland fee) for the first year. We also have Country Membership, Student, Junior and family rates available.
Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone. We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.
Our beautiful bar and restaurant is very popular, Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily. We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards and poker nights along with book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. Our friendly club is very welcoming to new members and is a great way to meet people. SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLEWe had a very successful scramble last Sunday afternoon and the weather was very kind to us. We were delighted to welcome Roger Linnard and Cathal McKenna who joined us for the first time this afternoon. These scrambles are invaluable for new members to help integrate into our club.Results; 1st Roger Linnard, Paul Kiely and Paula Prendiville 26 7/8, 2nd Adrian O’Driscoll, Louise Moloney and Aideen Hill 27 3/8. Thanks to everyone for supporting the scramble. A huge thanks to Bernie Lynch (Vice Captain) and Ann Moloney for running the scramble so efficiently. Mile buiochas to Tom Daly and staff in the bar who play such a big part in the social aspect of our club. Our next scramble is scheduled for Sunday Mar 24. Shotgun start at 3pm.
MEMBERS GOLF INSURANCE
An email has gone out to all members to remind them to contact the office if they would like to renew their existing personal golf insurance policy or to avail of it for the first time. The deadline is end of March. Please call us and we can take payment over the phone.
LADIES SPRING LEAGUE
The second round of the exciting spring league has finished and we have some new names in the top 5. Category A contenders Bernie Hayes, Colette O’Mahony, ina Considine, Celia Power and Louise Moloney.
Category B Nollaig McCarthy, Patricia Butler, Mary Buckley, Kolette Enright and Bernie Lynch. As usual the names are in random order and the competition will close at the end of March – one month left.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP 2024
Our Junior Membership year commences from 1st April. If your child would like to join as a junior member, please contact the office as we have great joining rates of €70 for ages 6 – 12 and €100 for ages 13 -18 (plus €7 Golf Ireland Levy). Please email office@dungarvangolfclub.com for an application form. Children will have great fun at Dungarvan Golf Club, learn to play golf, make new friends and develop life skills.

We had a terrific turnout for 60.com on Wednesday the 28th February considering the weather and general all conditions. To say the course was playing long is an understatement! However, as you can see below, we had fantastic scores. 1st Rogie O’Connor 22pts, 2nd Sean English 21pts, 3rd Rufus Flynn 20pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, put your name on the timesheet any Wednesday and join us.
LOTTO RESULTS
We had our weekly Lotto draw on Friday, 1st March. This was Week 42 of 52. The numbers drawn were 17, 18, 24 and 28. The jackpot was €6,300, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €6,400 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Gerry Byrne and John Norris – who win €50 each.
