LAUNCH OF LOTTO 6

It is that time of the year to check the renewal of your annual €90.00 ticket. Lotto 1,2 3,4 and 5 has proved to be a great success to date and the lotto committee would like to thank members for supporting this necessary fundraiser for the important works which have been carried out on the course thus far. The Lotto Committee would request your continued support by renewing your annual ticket for the coming year, or purchase one for the first time. If you purchase the annual €90.00 ticket for Lotto 6 on or before the 30th April 2024 you will be eligible for a draw for the following:
1. Chamber voucher for €100.00.
2. A free extra annual €90.00 lotto ticket.
3. A meal for two at Dungarvan Golf Club.

EASTER MONDAY OPEN SCRAMBLE

EASTER JUNIOR COMPETITIONS

Now that we are on Easter holidays, we are having two junior competitions. First one takes place this Wednesday 27th March from 10am. Next one takes place on Wednesday 3rd April. Timesheets are live so book your tee time. Hope to see ye on the course.

GET INTO GOLF PROGRAMME

Our Get into Golf Programme starts week beginning 8^th April for Men and on 9^th April for Ladies and we have been very busy taking names for this very popular course. If you are a beginner to golf then this is the course for you! We will hold four weekly group lessons with our Pro David Hayes, followed by four weeks on course practice all for just €50.

We have Men’s and Ladies lessons and it is a great way to meet new people and lots of fun guaranteed. If you are interested, please email us office@dungarvangolfclub.com or call the office 058-43310 to reserve your place. We will be holding an Information Evening in the clubhouse on 2^nd April at 7pm for all those signed up to attend.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP 2024

Our Junior Membership year commences from 1^st April. If your child would like to join as a junior member, please contact the office as we have great joining rates of €70 for ages 6 – 12 and €100 for ages 13 -18 (plus €7 Golf Ireland Levy). Please email office@dungarvangolfclub.com for an application form. Children will have great fun at Dungarvan Golf Club, learn to play golf, make new friends and develop life skills.

Our popular weekly Saturday lessons for juniors will commence in April. These group lessons with our PRO David Hayes are great fun and our Juniors learn so much each week.

This year we celebrate 100 years of Dungarvan Golf Club and we want you to be a part of it! We have a great joining rate for new members €400 (+ €28 Golf Ireland fee) for the first year. We also have Country Membership, Student, Junior and family rates available.

Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone. We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

Our beautiful bar and restaurant is very popular, Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards and poker nights along with book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
The weather wasn’t very favourable last Sunday for our scramble. Nevertheless, our loyal supporters turned out in force with very close scoring in the end. We really appreciate their support and making the scramble so enjoyable.

MENS CLUB FOURSOMES

Members are invited to enter this Men’s Club Foursomes (Scotch) competition. The format is Matchplay & pick your own partner. Entry fee is €20 per pair and deadline for entry is Sunday 14th April. Sign the sheet on the notice board in the men’s locker room, put €20 in an envelope and post it with your names into the 9 Hole box in the locker room. The draw will take place on Wednesday 17th April.

60.COM

It was tough going for our 60.com on Wednesday 20th March. The continuous rain has made the course play extremely long and as a result it is difficult to reach most holes in regulation. Despite this our 60.com members continue to bring in excellent scores. The winners this week were: 1^st Denis O’Brien 20pts, 2^nd Tim Browne 20pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, put your name on our timesheet any Wednesday and join us.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto draw on Friday, 22nd March. This was Week 45 of 52.
The numbers drawn were 4, 17, 24 and 27. The jackpot was €6,600, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €6,700 for the next draw. We had three match 3 winners – Tom Considine, Carmel O Brien and Anne Heneberry – who win €34 each. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website www.dungarvangolfclub.com or in the clubhouse. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. All funds raised are used to develop our course. Our next draw is on Friday 29^TH March.

FRIDAY BRIDGE

Everyone is welcome to our weekly bridge morning every Friday and it is a great social meeting place during the winter months. Bridge commences at 11am.
