UPCOMING OPEN COMPETITIONS
We have lots of Open Competitions coming up. Our next Open Scramble is on Bank Holiday Monday 2nd June. We had a full timesheet last Monday for the May Bank Holiday scramble and no doubt will be the same next month! Our Scratch Cups take place on Sunday 15th June and the timesheet is filling up fast. All our our Ladies Open Competitions are available to book online also.
NINE & DINE COMPETITION
We are excited to announce our new Nine & Dine Open 9 hole competition which will take place on selected Friday evenings during the summer. The first competition date is Friday 16th May and bookings are open online. We hope you can join us and enjoy nine holes of golf followed by a delicious meal after golf – all for 20 euro!
VICE CAPTAINS PRIZE
Our Vice Captains Prize kindly presented by Carmel Fox and Patrick Cumiskey will take place on Sunday 25th May and there are great prizes to be won including first prize of a night away in Mount Wolseley plus a round of golf.
JUNIOR NEWS
Our Junior coaching continues next Saturday at 3pm and is open to everyone 6 years of age and older. We had a great turnout at last weekends session. Our Pre Junior members were then brought onto the course at 4pm with adult members for an hour to give them valuable course knowledge regarding course etiquette and they played a few holes. For some it was their first time out on the course and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you to all our volunteers for giving up their time, we really appreciate it. Please contact David in the Pro Shop at 058-44707 if you can give us one hour of your time to help the future golfers of our club.
SOUTH MUNSTER SENIORS
We welcome the South Munster Seniors on Wednesday 7th May, the timesheet is nearly full with just one or two tee times available.
BRIDGE NIGHT FUNDRAISER
We are holding a Bridge Night on Friday 9th May at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. All arewelcome to join us to raise funds for the installation of a much-needed lift for theclubhouse. Entry is €10pp with a raffle on the night. We hope you can spread the word and make this fundraiser very successful.

Summer weather arrived for our 60.com on Wednesday 30 April. The conditions on the course were excellent and the scores were terrific. The results were: 1st Tom Scanlan 23pts, 2nd John Moran 21pts, 3rd Kevin Kiersey 20pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.
Fun Friday FoursomesThere is no doubt about it but good weather draws a crowd for golf. Get into Golf 2025 (Ladies and Men)Our new ladies have completed their lessons with our PGA Professional David Hayes and are really looking forward to going out on the golf course this week with our lady members. Quite a number of them have already been down on the practice area trying out their new skills.The men on the other hand have one more lesson with David before going out on the golf course. We are really looking forward to working with all our new members.
SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLEOur next Social Scramble is scheduled for Sun May 11. Shotgun start at 5 pm.These scrambles are open to all members including juveniles. They are a social event and are a fun way to spend your Sunday evening if you are free. Booking is open so just go online and book your place.
LOTTO RESULTS
We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 5th May. The numbers drawn were 1, 4, 8 and 11.
The jackpot was €6,800, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €6,900 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Margaret Coffey and Declan Walsh & Friends – who win €50 each. Todays draw was draw 51 of Lotto 6. We will be launching Lotto 7 in two weeks time on May 16th. Thank you to everyone who supports our lotto. All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
