OPEN CLUB CLASSIC

We are holding an Open Club Classic on Friday 4^th, Saturday 5^th and Sunday 6^th of July. This Classic is an important fundraiser for the installation of a much-needed Clubhouse Lift. We hope you can play and support our fundraiser and we look forward to welcoming lots of visitors to our club. The timesheet is open for bookings online or call our office on 058-43310 and the format is one score to count on the front nine holes and two scores to count on the back nine holes.

JUNIOR NEWS

Our eager juniors enjoyed a great lesson last Saturday and special thank you to PRO David Hayes and his team of volunteers who make these lessons so enjoyable. After lessons we had a great turnout of junior members attending the on-course practise session where they gained tips and information from our experienced members. Thank you to our members who gave up their time to bring our juniors out on the course. We really appreciate it. For all our Pre Junior and Junior members, the next on course practise session is on Saturday 5^th July at 4pm.

We held an important Junior Rules night on Monday 16^th June. It was great to see lots of boys and girls attend. David Hayes explained the junior course rules, taking questions from juniors who were so eager to learn. The latest version of our Junior Rules is now posted in the locker rooms. Please familiarise yourself with these Rules so you can play our course safely and have some fun.

We have an Open Junior competition on this Thursday 26^th June as part of our Open Fortnight. Bookings are open online. Congratulations to our Pierce Purcell team and team managers Donal Williams and Matt Curran on a great 3-1 win against Mitchelstown GC last Saturday 21^st. We now play Tramore GC in round four.

REVIVE FOURBALL TEAM WIN

Our Revive Fourball team had a comprehensive win over Faithless GC last Saturday 21^st. We played home and away on the same day. Congratulations to all the team and team managers June Hayes and Breid Scanlon. We play Thurles GC in round two.

GET INTO GOLF 2025
It is great to see so many of our new golfers out on the course now. All of our Get into Golf participants 2025 have opted to move on into phase two and are now temporary members of Dungarvan Golf Club. They are a very enthusiastic group and we are delighted to have them as part of our club. We also have the course booked from 7-8 pm specifically for them on Wednesday (ladies) and Thursday (men) which is a great benefit to our new golfers. A huge thanks to our volunteers each week who come and help out. Please call into the office to collect your member cards and Golf Bag tags!

We had a beautiful day in Waterford Castle last Thursday 19^th, basking in the glorious sunshine and enjoying lovely golf. We had our third 60. com outing of 2025 in Faithlegg Golf Club on Wednesday 18 June. We had to book additional timeslots to facilitate all those who wanted to play. The weather was perfect and the course was in excellent condition. We could have been in sunny Spain last Friday morning the weather was so warm and dry. As a result, we had a large number for our foursomes and scoring was very close.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 20^th June. The numbers drawn were 16, 19, 23 and 28. The jackpot was €7,500, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €7,600 for the next draw. We had one match 3 winner – John Morgan – who wins €100. All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
