FUNDRAISING CHAMPAGNE SCRAMBLE

On Wednesday 6^th August we are holding a 9H members Fundraising Champagne Scramble for our Clubhouse lift and this is kindly sponsored by the Youngones and 60.com. It will be a shotgun start at 2.30pm and entry is €10. The timesheet is full and we thank all our members for their support for this much needed lift for our clubhouse.

FUNDRAISER FOR FRED DALY TEAM

On Wednesday Aug 13 the Get into Golf committee are running a scramble to raise funds for our very successful juniors who have reached the Fred Daly All-Ireland quarter finals in Donabate. These young boys are the future of our club and we need to do all that is possible to support them in every way. Timesheet is live so please go online and book your place. It will be a fun event. Entry fee is €10pp. Please add your name to timesheet between 2pm – 4.50pm. Shotgun start at 6pm.

PROGRESSIVE 45 FUNDRAISER
We are holding a Progressive 45 Cards Fundraiser night for the Clubhouse Lift on Sunday 10th August starting at 8pm. All welcome! There will be a raffle for spot prizes on the night. €10pp entry.

JUNIOR NEWS

We had a great turnout of juniors for our weekly lessons on Saturday, thank you to everyone who gave up their time to assist our Pro David Hayes. Thank you to our members who also assisted with taking our pre junior members out on the course for one hour of course etiquette and course safety. Our Junior Club is thriving this year, we have lots of new juniors members and really eager girls and boys taking to the fairways each week. The support of our adult members is really appreciated.

Saturday coaching will continue this week at 3pm under the watchful eye of Club Professional David Hayes. If your nipper is aged 6 and over bring them along. All equipment is provided. Junior and Pre Junior competitions continue on Wednesday. Please book your time online. Any enquiries relating to our junior activities can be directed to our club professional David Hayes. YOUNGONES

We were back in action last Wednesday with a full timesheet for our weekly competition. 1^st Margaret Corry (30) 20pts CB, 2nnd Julianna Phelan (32) 20pts. We have a Fundraising Champagne Scramble for our clubhouse lift this Wednesday, shotgun start at 2.30pm.

60. COM

Our 60.com competition was back on 30th July after a short break for the Lady Captain’s scramble. The conditions on the day were excellent, the timesheet was full and the scoring was terrific. The winners were: 1^st    John Morgan 20 pts, 2^nd Kevin Kiersey 20 pts, 3^rd Jack Elstead 20 pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheets. 

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

We had an ideal morning for golf on Friday Aug 1 and thanks to all our loyal supporters who come so early to support the event. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes over the back nine holes and it is great fun. We are finished just in time for morning coffee and thanks to Tom and his staff in the bar for the hospitality.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our next Social Scramble is scheduled for this coming Sunday Aug 10. Shotgun start at 5 pm. Time sheet is open. Just go online and book your place between 15.30pm and 16.50 pm. It is open to all members and you don’t need a handicap. Juniors €2 and adults €5 (cash). We would love to see you join us.


GET INTO GOLF 2025
Both our Get into Golf ladies and men are really immersed into our club with many of them having handicaps at this stage. The Get into Golf nine hole qualifying competition for ladies is very popular with many of this year’s ladies playing. Well done to Leslie McCutcheon on achieving first place last week. A lot of our Get into Golf men play in the Atec nine hole. So well done to you all!

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 1^st August. The numbers drawn were 14, 16, 20 and 28. The jackpot was €8,100, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €8,200 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Tom Norris and Paul Breen – who win €50 each. Many thanks for your support of our club Lotto. All funds are directed to course improvement projects All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
