BOOK SALE THIS WEEKEND!!

Our Book Sale takes place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday upstairs in the Clubhouse. We have a fabulous range of great quality books at low prices including children’s books, cooking, sports, fiction, biographies, jigsaws and much much more. Our book sale committee have been very busy working hard to ensure the sale is a great success and thank you for all the hard work. All funds raised will go to the installation of a clubhouse life. Thank you to everyone who has donated their books, we really appreciate the support. We are full to capacity now and are no longer accepting book donations.

Book Sale Opening times are:

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

The next social scramble is scheduled for this Sunday (Nov 9). These scrambles are open to all members including juveniles. Entries close at 5pm on Saturday evening.  If you are free and would like to join us, just go online and book your place. Shotgun start at 2pm.

GET INTO GOLF 2025
Both our ladies and men are very enthusiastic and are regularly out practicing their golf. Many of them are already playing in the regular club competitions and showing great promise. Congratulations to Claire O’Rielly on winning the 9 hole Get into Golf competition this week.

60. com/YOUNGONES FUNDRAISER

Our 60. com and Younonges will hold a 9H fundraising scramble on Wednesday 19th November for the Samaritans. We hope everyone can support this very worthy cause. Shotgun start at 1pm with tea/coffee afterwards.

DUNGARVAN GOLF CONNECT

Dungarvan Golf Connect is a friendly social group for club members of all levels. We help you get out to play more often, meet new playing partners, and develop your game. Expect regular meetups, updates, and a place to arrange rounds with other golfers. We also organise social competitions and occasional lessons. YOUNGONES

Forty ladies played in the sunshine and enjoyed a lovely afternoon of golf on Wednesday 28^th followed by chat and dessert in the clubhouse for our Halloween party.

60. COM

We had wonderful weather conditions for our 60. com competition on Wednesday 29 October. As usual the timesheet was full and the scoring was excellent.

The winners were: 1^st   Tommy Butler 20pts, 2^nd Mossie Walsh 19pts, 3^rd Tom Lyons 19pts

If you’re interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
We had torrential rain last Friday morning which meant we had no foursomes. Hopefully conditions will be better this Friday (Nov 7). We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes and we play the back nine holes. The competition is open to all members and it is great fun. Shotgun start at 9am and we finish just in time for morning coffee in the clubhouse. Why not join us if you would like to meet others in the club and enjoy some social golf.

LOTTO

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 31^st October. The numbers drawn were 9, 13, 16 and 20. The jackpot was €2,800, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €2,900 for the next draw. We had three match 3 winners – June Hayes, Kevin Quinlan and Tadhg & Orla Sheehan – who win €34 each. All funds are directed to course improvement projects All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.

Resident Professional David has all the latest offerings from the major brands including the Qi35 from TaylorMade, M Craft putters from Mizuno and much more. As always David offers professional advice so ensure you get the most out of your game.
