LIFT INSTALLATION

After a slight change to plans our lift is being installed this Tuesday 24^th March. We are all looking forward to having this much needed resource in our clubhouse and see it utilised by members and visitors.

PERSONAL GOLF INSURANCE RENEWAL

Thinking of renewing or taking out personal golf insurance this year? Please contact the office to arrange. All policies from last year expire on 31st March 2026, regardless of when they were taken out. The cost is €25 for the year, with payment due by 1st April.

MOVING TO 18 HOLES

Our Gents Competitions move to 18 holes from Saturday 28^th March and our Ladies competitions will move to 18H from Tuesday 31^st March.

ST PATRICKS DAY OPEN SCRAMBLE

A big thank you to everyone who entered our St Patrick’s Day Open Scramble — great to see such fantastic support! Our next Open Scramble takes place on Easter Monday, 6th April. JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS

Invoices have now been emailed to all Junior and Pre-Junior members, with payment due by 1st April. The Junior season is just around the corner and, weather permitting, Saturday lessons will be starting in the coming weeks. We can’t wait to see all our eager juniors back out on the course!

The newly designed Dungarvan Golf Triangle website is now live, showcasing the fantastic opportunity to play our three local golf clubs. Interest in the Golf Triangle continues to grow year on year, with Dungarvan proving to be an increasingly popular destination for visitors taking advantage of this excellent value offering.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
We had a large group for our Foursomes last Friday morning.  We had ideal conditions and the sun was shining! 1^st Pat Crowley and Bernie Butler, 2^nd Pat Phelan and Claire Brady
We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes and we play the back nine holes. We are in just in time for morning coffee in the clubhouse. It is a social event and a great way to meet other members in the club. We have a shotgun start at 9 am. All are welcome.

GET INTO GOLF 2026

Presently we are preparing our Get into Golf programme for 2026. Entries for this year are closed with a waiting list in place for 2027 which is rapidly filling. We are holding an information night on Monday April 13^th at 7 pm. Lessons will start on Monday April 20 with our PGA professional David Hayes. Each year it is exciting to meet new people and introduce them to Dungarvan Golf Club.

The weather on Wednesday 18 March was excellent and our course was in great condition. We had the biggest turn out of members in a long time – with time slots been used outside our normal booking. As usual the scoring was excellent: 1^st Nial Herlihy 20pts, 2^nd   Tom Scanlan 20pts, 3^rd Tom Frost 19pts. If you are interested in social golf, and are over 60 years of age, then join us any Wednesday by putting your name on our timesheet.

Last week’s excellent weather was reflected in a full timesheet, and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the course.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our next Social Scramble is scheduled for next Sunday Mar 29. Shotgun start at 4.30 pm. If you are free and would like to join us just go online and book your place between 3 pm and 4.20 pm. The scrambles are open to all members including juveniles. They are real social events and a great way to meet others.

While weekends are in high demand from May through September, we currently have good weekday availability at very competitive rates. Please email office@dungarvangolfclub.com to make a booking.

LOTTO

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 20^th March. The numbers drawn were 2, 13, 15 and 25. The jackpot was €4,800, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €4,900 for the next draw. There was two match 3 winners this week – Donal Dempsey and Stephen Kiely. As we had no match three winners last week, they win €100 each. All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
