SAMARITANS FUNDRAISER

We had a fantastic day last Friday 5^th for our ‘Play In Green’ Samaritans Waterford/South East fundraiser. Our timesheet was very busy and it was great to see so many members and visitors wearing their green colours in support of Samaritans. Thank you to Rory Fitzgerald from Samaritans who along with other volunteers met with golfers before teeing off.

JUNIOR GOLF NEWS

Junior Membership invoices were issued in April and must now be paid in full to ensure continued access to the course. To request a Junior membership form please email office@dungarvangolfclub.com. Pre Junior membership (age 6 – 12) is €82.50 and Junior (13 – 18) is €107.50.

Thank you Grace, Rachel, Cathie, Michael, James and David for their invaluable assistance to our PRO David Hayes at last Saturday’s golf lessons. Please note that children must be aged 6 or over to take part in the lessons. It is wonderful to see such large numbers of boys and girls attending each week. Lessons take place every Saturday from 3pm to 4pm. During the summer, on selected Saturdays after lessons, we will be taking our Pre Junior/Junior members out on the course to learn course rules, etiquette and safety on the course. Only paid-up members can avail of these on course practise sessions.

GET INTO GOLF 2026

The on – course practice continues for both our men and women each week. We are indebted to all the volunteers who show up on Monday and Tuesday evenings to help our new golfers. It is so important to encourage and help our new members. Many thanks to Tom Daly and staff for providing the hospitality in the bar afterwards which is a vital part of the Get into Golf programme.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

Due to a charity event for the Samaritans last Friday, there was no foursomes competition. We are back this Friday June12. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes and we play the back nine holes. We are finished just in time for morning coffee in the clubhouse. It is a social event and all are welcome. Shotgun start at 9 am.

We had a blustery day for our 60. com competition on Wednesday 3rd June. The conditions did not put off our golfers and we had the biggest number of players in the history of the Wednesday competitions of the 60. com. LOTTO

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 5^th June. The numbers drawn were 10, 20, 23 and 24. The jackpot was €5,900, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €6,000 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners, Marion Phelan and Tom Phelan, who win €50 each. Please contact the office or renew on line if your €90 ticket has expired. All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
