Our Captain, Patrick Cumiskey, held his Captains Prize over the weekend and it was great to see such a large number of members compete in the Captains Prize and Captains Plate over the three days. Congratulations to Roger O Connor who won the Captains Prize with a score of 137. Congratulations to Stephen Lynch on winning the Captains Plate and to all our members who won prizes. Thank you to Tom and all his staff, to the course staff, Pro Shop and our office staff for all their help along with the Men’s Committee whose hard work ensured the weekend was a great success.

PGA PRO DAVID HAYES TOURNAMENT

Save the date! Our PGA Professional, David Hayes, is proud to celebrate his 30th anniversary at Dungarvan Golf Club. To mark this remarkable milestone and recognise three decades of service to our members, David is hosting an Anniversary Golf Tournament on Saturday, 11^th July. Join us in celebrating David’s contribution to the club and the game of golf over the past 30 years. We look forward to making this a memorable occasion for all involved.

The competition format is a members only three-person scramble, with an entry fee of €10 per person. There will be some amazing prizes to be won on the day. Presentation of prizes will take place at 8:30pm, followed by music from the fantastic Padraic Di Fusco. We hope all our members will support what promises to be a great day of golf and an enjoyable night of celebrations as we honour David’s 30 years of service to our club.

JUNIOR GOLF NEWS

GET INTO GOLF 2026

Presently both our ladies and men are to be seen out practicing their golf, particularly on Monday and Tuesday evenings when specific times are booked on the timesheet for them. We are particularly thankful to all the established members who give so generously of their time to help our new members. Our new golfers are very enthusiastic, with many of them already submitting cards for handicap. Our Get into Golf programme has helped significantly in increasing our membership.
Well done to our Get into Golf committee who work tirelessly to improve the programme each year.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

 
We are back this Friday morning with our foursomes after a short break. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes with a shotgun start at 9 am. This is a social event followed by morning coffee in the clubhouse later. If you are new to our club and would like to meet other members, just come along. All are welcome.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

Our next Social Scramble is scheduled for next Sunday July 5. Shotgun start a 4.30 pm. Scrambles are great fun and all members are welcome including juveniles. We didn’t have any 60.com competition on Wednesday 24 June as the very successful Captain’s Scramble was taking place that day. Also, we won’t have any 60.com competition on Wednesday 1st July due to the Munster Boys Inter Club competition taking place that day. For that week we have decided to have our weekly competition on Friday 3 July.

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday (26-06-2026). The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 25 and 27.
