HAPPY NEW YEAR

We would like to wish all our Members, Sponsors, Friends, Visitors and Staff at Dungarvan Golf Club a very Happy New Year. We would like to thank our members for their continued support of the club throughout the last year. 

Thank you to all our members who volunteer their free time here at Dungarvan Golf Club and whose hard work is really appreciated and we look forward to welcoming new committee members on all our committees during the next few months.

We also wish to thank all our generous sponsors who continued to support our club in what has been a difficult time for local businesses. We ask you to shop local and support those businesses that support our club. We hope 2024 is a healthy one for you and your family.

2024 is a big year for Dungarvan Golf Club celebrating 100 years in existence. This is a wonderful milestone and testament to all our members past and present. We hope you can join us and celebrate throughout the year, it promises to be a great one!  

JOIN US IN 2024

We have a great new member joining rate for 2024 – join us for €400 (+ €28 Golf Ireland fee) for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone.

We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

We have a beautiful bar and restaurant where Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards and poker nights along with book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
Save the date! Our Captains Drive In will take place on Sunday 14th January at 12 Noon followed by a scramble (weather permitting). We hope to see you all there.

AGM – LADIES CLUB

The Annual General meeting of the Ladies Club will be held on 9th January 2024, at 7pm in Dungarvan Golf Club.

MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS 2024

Our Membership Renewal Invoices have gone out to all members by email. We encourage members to pay in full or set up a payment plan using our BRS Memberships system. Please contact the office if you require assistance with this or if you had difficulty receiving the email.

SOCIETY BOOKINGS 2024

We have great rates for societies booking with us for 2024. Lots of dates are already booked up so don’t delay and get in contact. Call us on 058-43310 to book your preferred date.

YOUNGONES

Our Youngones enjoyed a wonderful afternoon on 20^th Dec for our Christmas party, lots of laughter and fun was had by all. Thank you to Tom, Chris and all the team for a delicious meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. We are taking a break and back again on Wednesday 10^th Jan. 

60.COM

I hope all our 60.com members had a great Christmas and New Year. We had planned to have a competition on Wednesday 27^th Dec but it was called off due the strong wind and rain. We are back as normal on Jan 3^rd. We are now looking forward to having a big year during the clubs Centenary Year in 2024. We have planned a number of outings and as well as our normal weekly competitions. If you are interested in social golf and are over 60 years of age then join us any Wednesday – just put your name on the timesheet.  

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

We are back this Friday (Jan 5) with our Scotch Foursomes. Time sheet is filling rapidly so if you would like some social golf to start off 2024 why not go online and book your place. This event is all about  meeting other members and having fun – a great way to start our Centenary Year.

Sunday Social Scramble
The next Social Scramble is scheduled for Sunday Jan 21. Time sheet will open on Monday Jan 9. These scrambles are a lovely way to spend a  Sunday afternoon and  are very popular social occasions .

PRO SHOP

Our Pro Shop is full of all your golf equipment needs. There is lots of wonderful Centenary Crested golf clothing and gear on sale. Contact our PGA Pro David Hayes if interested in Golf Lessons on 058-44707.

 LOTTO RESULTS

 We had our Lotto draw on Friday 29th December. This was Week 33.The numbers were 5, 6, 8 and 12. There was no winner of the Jackpot. We had two match three winners – Bernie Lynch and Gerry Byrne. They each win €50. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website www.dungarvangolfclub.com or in the clubhouse. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. All funds raised are used to develop our course. Our next draw is on Friday 5th January.

FRIDAY BRIDGE

Everyone is welcome to our weekly bridge morning and it is a great social meeting place during the winter months. Bridge commences at 11am.
