CONDOLENCES

We were very saddened to hear of the recent passing of former club member Fr. Ben O’Brien. Fr. Ben was a member of our club for many years and was always so generous with his time saying mass at our club AGM’s. Our sympathies are extended to all his family and his Augustinian family. JOIN US IN 2024

We have a great new member joining rate for 2024 – join us for €400 (+ €28 Golf Ireland fee) for the year. Dungarvan Golf Club has lots to offer everyone.

We have an excellent Pro Shop for all your equipment needs, our PGA Professional David Hayes who along with giving great golf advice gives lessons to beginners and seasoned golfers. We have a range of competitions and casual golf options for all types of golfers.

We have a beautiful bar and restaurant where Tom and his team serve delicious breakfasts, lunches and evening meals daily.  We have plenty of social events throughout the year and also weekly bridge, cards and poker nights along with book clubs, day trips and visits to other golf courses. CAPTAINS DRIVE IN
Save the date! Our Captains Drive In will take place on Sunday 14th January at 12 Noon followed by a scramble at 12.30pm. The timesheet is open for bookings. We hope to see you all there.

LADIES SPRING LEAGUE

The Spring League has begun.  This is a 9 hole singles competition where your best 2 cards will count each month from January until end of March. We had no  60.com on Wednesday 3rd Jan. As usual the weather stopped play! Back next Wednesday.

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

Between frost and rain, we are not having much success at running our regular foursomes. Nevertheless, we are hopeful for this Friday (Jan 12). Already the timesheet is filling rapidly. If you would like to play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes just go online and book your place.  We would love to see you there.

SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our first social scramble of 2024 is scheduled for Sunday Jan 21. These scrambles are great fun and ideal for helping new members integrate into our club. It is a great way to spend your Sunday afternoon. Booking has opened so why not add your name to the list.

LOTTO RESULTS

We had our weekly Lotto 5 draw today on Friday, 5th January. This was Week 34 of 52.
The numbers drawn were 6, 7, 11 and 28. The jackpot was €5,500, and there was no winner.
The jackpot is €5,600 for the next draw. We had three match 3 winners – Stephen Lynch, Lucy Frost and Siobhan Freyne – who win €34 each. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website www.dungarvangolfclub.com or in the clubhouse. Thank you to everyone who supports our Lotto. All funds raised are used to develop our course. Our next draw is on Friday 12^th January.

Everyone is welcome to our weekly bridge morning and it is a great social meeting place during the winter months. Bridge commences at 11am.
