PRESIDENTS PRIZE WEEKEND

Our President David Crowley held his Presidents Prize over the weekend. The timesheet was jam packed in advance of the competition and despite heavy downpours over the weekend there was some great scoring. Congratulations to Orla Sheehan who won first prize to the ladies and Declan Walsh who won first prize to the men. Congratulations to all the prize winners (full list below). Thank you to our course, restaurant, office and pro shop staff, for all their assistance and hard work leading up to and over the weekend. Thank you to the President’s Prize committee and both Men’s and Ladies committees for their great assistance in ensuring the smooth running of the competition. Thank you to everyone that helped take competition entries on Friday and Saturday and to all those who help behind the scenes at every major competition with scoreboard set up, clubhouse decorating and the important inputting of scorecards & results. These major competitions require a lot of work and we are blessed with all our wonderful members who give up their time every year.

FUNDRAISING SCRAMBLE MIXED FOURBALL TEAM

Our Mixed 4ball team are representing Munster in the Finals of the All Ireland Mixed 4ball on September 6th at Dundalk Golf Club. To help pay for travelling costs we are having a 9h scramble this Wednesday September 3rd. Shotgun start 6pm.  €10 entry fee, includes finger food in the bar afterwards. All donations go towards helping cover Mixed 4ball team costs.

LOTTO JACKPOT WINNER!!

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 29^th August and the numbers drawn were 1, 6, 8, and 12. The jackpot was €8,500, and there was one winner – Paddy Tully. Congratulations Paddy on your big win!!  The jackpot is €2,000 for the next draw. As the jackpot has been won there is no payout for match 3. Many thanks for your support of our club Lotto. All funds are directed to course improvement projects All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.

JUNIOR NEWS

Our Autumn competition series for Pre Juniors will kick off on Sunday 7^th September. The timesheet is nearly full so get booking! We had a great turnout of juniors for our weekly lessons last Saturday and thank you to all our brilliant volunteers for their invaluable assistance to our Pro David Hayes. Saturday coaching will continue this Saturday at 3pm. If your child is aged 6 and over bring them along. All equipment is provided. FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES

Last weekend we had our Presidents Prize kindly presented by our President David Crowley. It was a very busy weekend in our club and as a result we had no foursomes. However, we are back this Friday (Sept 5). Shotgun start at 9 am. All are welcome.

GET INTO GOLF 2025
Our new golfers are making great progress this Summer. Most of them have official handicaps now and are taking part in various competitions. Well done to Tereza Cyprainova on winning the 9 hole Get into Golf competition last Tuesday with 13pts.
