JUNIOR CAPTAINS PRIZE

Our next Pre Junior 9H competition will take place during midterm break on Wednesday 29th October in the morning. Such is the popularity of these competitions we have added extra tee times!

OCTOBER BANK HOLIDAY SCRAMBLE

Our next bank holiday Monday Open Scramble is on 27th October and the timesheet is open for bookings. These champagne scrambles always fill up fast. 

BOOK SALE

We are holding our book sale in the Clubhouse on the 7th, 8th and 9th November. All funds raised will go towards our Clubhouse Lift Fundraiser. Donations of any used books can be dropped to our Pro Shop, Harty & Co. Auctioneers and David Walsh Office Supplies. We can also arrange collection in Kilmacthomas and surrounding areas. 

COMPETITION PURSE

The first phase of the competition purse introduction has begun for all competitions during the weekends of October 2025 without any significant issues. The final phase of the purse introduction will now be introduced for all Competition days from November 1, 2025.

All such competitions will have a notice showing the purse in operation, when booking a tee time on BRS. The Club may not apply the purse in some cases e.g. scrambles and other social events.

SOCIETY OFFER 2026

Book your 2026 society with us before the end of December 2025 and you will receive our 2025 green fee rate, dozen crested Dungarvan Golf Club golf balls and four greenfees to use as prizes. FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES
The foursomes have become very popular on Friday mornings with a big entry despite the early start. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes and we play the back nine holes. Many thanks to John Moran for running the event again last Friday.

GET INTO GOLF 2025
There are a number of competition options open to our Get into Golf ladies and men. The nine hole qualifying competition each Tuesday around noon, the Get into Golf nine hole competition on Saturday at 2pm. There are times booked on Saturday from 2.30pm for the men and for both the men and women we have the Fun Friday Foursomes at 9 am each Friday. To continue to improve and enjoy your golf it is important to get out on the golf course regularly. Enjoy your golf

LADIES WINTER LEAGUE

The 2025 Winter League commences on November 3rd and will run for 6 weeks until December 14th. Entry Fee is €10. Please enter your name on the sheet in the Ladies Locker room. Teams and condition of play will be posted in advance of the start date. Closing date for entry is October 28th.

MENS WINTER LEAGUE
To enter please place your entry fee €20 in envelope with your name and GUI number for inclusion on the players list. Closing date for entries Tuesday 4th November 2025. Please see email for all conditions of play.

LOTTO

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 17^th October. The numbers drawn were 6, 7, 10 and 13. The jackpot was €2,600, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €2,700 for the next draw. We had two match 3 winners – Frances Millerick and Michael Curran – who win €50.

All funds are directed to course improvement projects All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.
