AGM – LADIES CLUB

The Annual General meeting of the Ladies Club will be held this Wednesday 21^st January at 7pm in the clubhouse. The minutes were sent out by email in December along with the agenda. We hope to see you there.

AGM – MENS CLUB

The Annual General meeting of the Men’s Club will be held on Wednesday 28^th January at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. Motions for the AGM should be submitted on or before the 14th January.

Beyond golf, we host a rich calendar of social activities, including weekly bridge, cards, book clubs, knitting groups, day trips, and visits to other golf courses. SUNDAY SOCIAL SCRAMBLE
Our New Years Scramble took place last Sunday. We were delighted to welcome three new members – Claire Brady, Ruaidhri O Hualluchain, and Iarlaith O Siothchain – who joined us for the first time. Thanks also to David Hayes and our loyal supporters who also played. A huge thanks to Carmel Fox and Kolette Enright who ran the event so efficiently. Mile buiochas to Tom Daly and staff for the welcome hospitality in the bar afterwards.

LADIES SPRING LEAGUE 2026

Our Ladies Spring League is starting soon and it is open to every lady who has a handicap.

Entry is €15 and it runs for 6 weeks only from Monday Feb 2^nd to Sunday March 15^th

The spring league is a great way to improve your golf, be part of a team and get to know

new people. Please add your name to the list in the ladies locker room before 26^th January.

Teams will be chosen by the ladies committee as fairly as possible after this date. More details on the Spring League are displayed in the locker room

FUN FRIDAY FOURSOMES.The foursomes take place each Friday morning. Shotgun start at 9 am. We play nine holes of Scotch Foursomes. It is a social event and a great way to meet other club members.  We finish just in time for morning coffee in the clubhouse. All are welcome.

GOLF LESSONS IN TINHALLA DRIVING RANGE
Our PGA Professional David Hayes is giving lessons in Tinhalla Driving range beginning on Monday Feb 2. They will run for four consecutive weeks finishing on Mon Feb 23. These lessons were a huge success last year and proved to be an ideal way to refresh and improve your golf in readiness for 2026. If you would like to participate, just contact the office and add your name to the list.

60. COM

We had no 60.com competition on Wednesday 14 Jan as it rained all afternoon. Back as usual next week.

YOUNGONES

We managed to escape most of the rain last Wednesday and played our weekly 9H competition. 1^st Breid Scanlon (34) 13pts, 2^nd Mary Buckley (25) 12pts. Back again this Wednesday with a few times remaining.

LOTTO

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on Friday 16^th January. The numbers drawn were 7, 15, 17 and 24. The jackpot was €3,900, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €4,000 for the next draw. We had one match three winner – Joe O Toole – who wins €100. All funds go towards our course development projects. Lotto tickets can be purchased on our website or in the clubhouse.

SOCIETY BOOKINGS

We have great rates for 2026 especially for large groups. Full catering available breakfast, lunch and evening meals, always a hit with visitors to our club. Give the office a call today or email us with your preferred date.
