PRESIDENTS PRIZE

The President’s Prize, kindly presented by David Crowley, will be held on Friday 28^th/Saturday 29^th August with the final round on Sunday 30^th August. All eligible members are invited to participate. On Friday 28^th/Saturday 29^th an 18 Hole Stroke play first round will be played off the white markers for men and red for ladies, with the top 54 men and the top 36 ladies qualifying to play in a second round on Sunday 30^th August. The aggregate score over the two rounds will decide the winner. In the event of a tie the winner will be decided by count-back. On Sunday 30^th all qualifiers to be in clubhouse prior to 11.30am for a Shotgun Start at 12pm.

There will also be an option to play in a separate 18 hole stableford, one day plate competition, on either Friday (the 28^th) or Saturday (the 29^th) off the green tee markers for men and red markers for women. Please specify your intention to play in this alternative competition when paying on entry. All members and their partners are invited to the Clubhouse on Sunday 30^th August for the presentation of prizes at 7pm approx.

PRESIDENTS 9H SCRAMBLE

The Presidents 9-hole scramble is on Wednesday 26^th August with a shotgun start at 6pm. Please add your name to timesheet by Wednesday 26th of August on or before 9am to facilitate a draw to be made. Juniors with a handicap can play in the scramble. Cash only entry €10.00 per person. €5.00 for juniors. Finger Food will be served after golf.

SPECIAL SOCIAL SCRAMBLE

This Friday (Aug 21) we are holding a special scramble to help integrate our new golfers who have come through the Get into Golf programme. This year we have over fifty people playing golf for the first time. We have been running the programme since 2016. We are now issuing an invitation to all our Get into Golf participants to signup to the scramble. It will be fun and a great social evening with food available in the clubhouse later. Just go online and book your place. Shotgun start at 6pm.

LADIES AWAY TRIP TO WEXFORD

We are off to Wexford for our ladies’ golf away trip! There are various options to choose from over the two days. The full details are available in the locker room. Please tick your preferred option and, if you are sharing a room, add the name of the person you are sharing with. We are looking forward to a great trip!

JUNIOR GOLF NEWS

This Wednesday, 19^th August, we have two Junior Competitions taking place first up is our Open Junior 18-Hole Competition following by Pre Junior 9H competition. There are a few tee times remaining, so be sure to get your entry in! Congrats to last week’s prize winners. It is great to see so many juniors getting involved and playing competitions.

On Wednesday 26^th Aug the Deise Golf League takes place in our club. This is an Open 18H Junior competition and we encourage our members to book in!

We had a large turnout for our Junior Lessons last Saturday, thank you to all our volunteers for their invaluable assistance. Come along and enjoy an hour of fun, learning and skill development. Equipment is provided, and you do not have to be a club member to take part.

SOUTH MUNSTER SENIORS

We welcome the South Munster Seniors on Wednesday 9^th September. This is the third and final visit of 2026 and the timesheet always fills up quickly. Entry is only €15pp please book online.

PAST/PRESENT LADY CAPTAINS

We had our weekly Lotto Draw on 14^th August. The numbers drawn were 3, 5, 12 and 22. The jackpot was €6,900, and there was no winner. The jackpot is €7,000 for the next draw.
